RISING TIDE SCHOOLWIDE OBJECTIVES AND BENCHMARK SKILLS
One of the key design elements of the program at Rising Tide is for the school to provide a strong academic program that fosters the development of skills. The school has worked over time to develop language to describe the skills students need to develop in order to graduate as capable and prepared young adults. Our faculty pairs this language with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework to inform instructional design.
We are pleased to share this language of the Rising Tide School Wide Objectives and Benchmark Skills with other educators as well as examples of lessons, rubrics, and units, and a history of the development of this practice since the school’s opening in 1998.
