Rising Tide has announced a new initiative to support our students in creating a Rising Tide Community Garden. This is designed to bring families, students, faculty, and staff together to create an edible garden and cultivate a healthy environment. Our goal is to create a unique garden area that provides hands-on learning that extends beyond a traditional classroom. We envision the garden to be used as an outdoor classroom, a meeting area, and a place to socialize. Additionally, our hope is that students will grow nutritious, edible crops that reflect the traditions of our area, and in time, donate them to local shelters who feed the needy.

 

We invite you to make a gift to the Community Garden Campaign. You can make an online donation by clicking here or by dropping off a check payable to Rising Tide Charter Public School with Community Garden in the memo. You can also participate in the “Buy a Bench” program by making a donation of $500. Your bench will include a name plate which can have your name or that of a loved one etched onto it for display. If you choose to “Buy a Bench”, we will contact you to discuss the details of your gift.

 

Our goal is to raise $5,000 by April 1st so that our students can prepare to plant crops this spring. Your donation, no matter the size, will be instrumental in helping to provide tools, benches, hoses, gardening supplies, and a shed that our students need to make the project successful.
