Distance Learning Schedules, Appointments for Picking Up Chromebooks and Materials

Dear Rising Tide Families,

I hope that all of you have had a good week. On Monday, we will continue the approach to distance learning that we established on April 6. You can view next week’s schedules below or on the COVID-19 and Distance Learning Information page of our website.

Yesterday evening, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education  Commissioner Riley shared additional recommendations for remote learning for all pubic schools and districts in Massachusetts. At Rising Tide, we have been implementing many of the new recommendations through our approach to distance learning, but our leaders and faculty members will be reviewing and discussing the additional guidance this week as we continue to seek ways to improve our efforts to support student growth and connection. We will also be seeking additional feedback from students and families this week.

Chromebooks and School Materials
We have had a few additional requests for students to borrow a Chromebook, replace a Chromebook, or pick up materials from the school building. Moving forward, we will use an appointment system to reduce the number of people entering the building at any time for the safety of our families and our staff members.

Our next window of time to schedule an appointment will be this coming Monday, April 27, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
If you wish to make and appointment for Monday morning, please use the following Calendly link:
Appointment to Enter Rising Tide School Building
After you sign up using Calendly, you will receive an email confirmation and instructions on maintaining physical distancing when coming to the school building. If you are unable to schedule an appointment for Monday, please email us at distancelearning@risingtide.org to let us know your needs.

Assignments for April 27-May 1
On Monday, we will again share lists of assignments, by grade level at the Middle School and by subject at the Upper School, with families in addition to having the assignments posted on each Google Classroom.

I hope all of you will be able to get outside today to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Sincerely,
Michael O’Keefe
Head of School
