Rising Tide offers a number of advanced, dual enrollment courses through a partnership with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). 

This partnership allows juniors and seniors to earn college credits while taking their regular classes at Rising Tide. Additionally, these college-credit classes cost significantly less than taking comparable courses once a student is in college. 

Through their coursework, students who participate in this program are better prepared for college. They graduate from our upper school ready for the academic demands of college, and the SNHU dual enrollment credits they earn are generally transferable to other colleges and universities.

Students take their SNHU courses at Rising Tide from seven different Rising Tide teachers who are also adjunct professors of SNHU. These teachers all hold a master’s degree, have completed a SNHU training course, and follow the syllabi they have designed and had approved by SNHU. Upon the completion of these courses, students earn high school credit from Rising Tide, as well as college credit from SNHU. Current courses that are offered are Advanced Biology, Advanced English Composition, Advanced Literature Study, Advanced Modern World History, Advanced Philosophy, Advanced Statistics with Programming, Advanced Spanish III, and Advanced Spanish IV/V.

This partnership is in its fourth year, but the feedback from participating students has been excellent. In the words of one of our recent alumni:
