Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,
Thank you to everyone in our school community for demonstrating
patience and understanding as situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves. As we move forward together, I would like to share links to
information about practicing good handwashing, talking with children about
COVID-19, and preventing discrimination.
The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has recommendations for hand washing, along with the science behind the recommendations. The National Association of School Psychologists has helpful guidance for talking with children about COVID-19. The CDC has helpful information regarding the stigma and discrimination that can occur with the spread of
a disease such as COVID-19. We need to work together as a community to prevent any and all discrimination due to the situation regarding COVID-19. Finally, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) provides regular updates to information regarding COVID-19.
